Walnut Creek, Calif., November 13, 2013 -- Salman Khan, founder of the Khan Academy nonprofit, will provide the closing keynote for the Annual CUE 2014 Conference to be held March 20-22, 2014 in Palm Springs, California.
Khan’s presentation on Saturday, March 22 from 2:45 to 3:45 pm will be on the “One Room Schoolhouse: Education Reimagined” and will showcase how the more than 5,100 instructional videos, 100,000 problems, and 10 million unique users per month of the Khan Academy are helping reshape the world of education. Through his presentation, Khan will give insight into the history and evolution of Khan Academy and how educators can rethink education.
“We are so pleased that Sal Khan will close the CUE Conference,” said Mike Lawrence, CUE’s Executive Director. “Our members are truly appreciative of his work, not only because many use Khan Academy as a resource in their own classrooms, but also because they understand how Sal was able to leverage the power of technology successfully for the sake of students everywhere.”
The Khan Academy website is the most-used library of educational videos on the web, with 10 million unique students per month, over 4 million problems completed per day, and over 1.4 billion problems completed to date.
