Wine Country CUE

If I hope to describe myself in 250 words, I must begin with passion. I have a deep passion in my heart for students and learning. I have a passion for preparing students for their future, and I know technology is an integral part of that future. I have a passion for helping teachers realize their best selves as teachers. I am ready to share my passion and my energy as a member of the Board of Directors of CUE.

I have many years of practical experience. I have been a classroom teacher for 18 years and a curriculum technology coach for the last 9 years. As a founding member and president of our local affiliate, I pushed to establish a community of educators sharing with and learning from each other. My experience as a teacher, a coach, and an affiliate member prepared me to help further the goals of CUE and advocate for new ways of serving members.

I hope to help CUE discover ways to support affiliates in growing CUE membership. I would like to see continued collaboration with county offices of education. Most of all, I see us moving beyond technology for its own sake; we must embed it meaningfully in all educational areas. To support this shift, CUE needs to continue and expand work with curricular organizations like California League of Middle Schools and to include others such as ASCD and CABE. I am excited to help CUE prepare for the future, and hope to serve on the Board.
