Without educational technology my career as an educator would be fundamentally different. CUE has provided a knowledge and networking base as I moved from Elementary teacher to Technology Coordinator for CTAP in Monterey County and Region 5. I have served as Secretary for the Tri-CUE affiliate, am a Program Committee member for NECC ’06 in San Diego, and serve on the CUE Communication Committee. CUE continues to be a catalyst for improving teaching and learning in my career. The challenge for CUE has been supporting all educators in the use of educational technology to improve teaching and learning. The Spring Conference has been revitalized, and CUE resources have begun reaching educators in renewed ways. Membership is showing signs of growth as value expands beyond the Spring Conference and larger affiliates. As a board member, I would be especially interested in:
I am ready to give back to the CUE membership at large. I promise that, if elected, I will listen to members, collaborate on CUE supported projects, fulfill my duties, and focus on implementing the CUE philosophy: Promoting the development and growth in the use of computer and other technologies in education. |
