Micheline LeBlanc,
board nominee

Micheline LeBlanc
Director of Program Delivery, CTAP Region IV

Oakland, CA

Affiliate Nominated

(East Bay CUE)

My career in education spans more than 30 years and includes teaching experiences in New Jersey, Texas and California. Since joining CUE in the late 1980s, I have looked to that organization and its members for leadership and guidance in the area of education technology.

Since 1997, I have been a member of the CTAP Region IV staff.  Currently, I am the program director for Region IV, coordinating our regional activities in all areas of education technology, http://www.ctap4.org, and working closely with the California Department of Education.

For several years, I have worked with a team in the development of the CTAP Region IV Middle School Math Project (MSMP), http://www.ctap4.org/math/. The MSMP team presented workshops at many CUE Conferences, as well as at both California Math Council Conferences, and at NECC 2006.

From 1996 – 2004, I served on the East Bay CUE board and as its president from 2000-2002.  I was honored to be nominated by my affiliate and to receive the CUE Gold Disk in 2001. For all that I have received from CUE, I would like to give something in return.

I am committed and promoting:
  1. an emphasis of education technology for English Language Learners;
  2. a focus on 21st Century Skills;
  3. a strong CUE presence in northern California; and
  4. a continuation of solid partnerships and an increase in partnership with curricular and administrator organizations.
I ask for your support in this endeavor by voting for me to the CUE Board of Directors.
