(San Diego CUE)

For over 16 years, the CUE organization and conferences have acted as a catalyst for inspiring both my personal and professional activities. Currently as adjunct faculty in EdTech for National University and as a part-time trainer for CTAP Region 9 and the San Diego COE, I have learned that there is no rest for those of us who “embrace” innovation. Rather than “embrace” we tend to “brace” our students and colleagues for a whirlwind of technological change; change in education and in technology is a constant.

Since my first CUE conference in 1989, where I ogled over products like KidPix and Hyperstudio, I have continuously been inspired to try new methods of instruction and to share technology across many sectors of the educational community. This love of technology has led me to work with software, textbook, and online publishers to find the harmonious match between instruction, curriculum, and educational technology. Through my tenure as a former elementary teacher, consultant and account executive for various software companies, I feel I possess a rare blend of education and industry knowledge which may translate into unique human capital for our organization.

For our affiliate I have successfully chaired the Vendor Committee for our Tech Fair for 13 consecutive years, served as secretary, and am currently serving as VP of Strategic Partnerships.

As a CUE Board member, my two main commitments are to grow our organization and to strategically build our outreach and audience as we continue to embrace change and eliminate boundaries.
