(Orange County CUE)

I am running for re-election to the Computer-Using Educators Board of Directors, because I wish to continue to serve this organization in a statewide capacity. CUE has new momentum and I want to continue to serve as a member of your Board during this dynamic time.

My involvement with CUE began at the local level and I continue to serve my local affiliate board. I have also served CUE as a member of the Conference Regional Planning Committee, Communications Committee and Affiliate Committee. In addition, I continue to present at both state and local CUE Conferences.

I believe that I bring to the board the perspective of a classroom teacher with many years of technology experience. I have been a classroom teacher for 30 years. I currently teach theatre, video production and computer applications at the middle school level.  In my current position I strive to integrate technology and address the standards.

My experience goes beyond the classroom. I have served my district as Technology Mentor and School Site Technology Facilitator.  I have also been a certifier and trainer for CTAP and have taught classes for UCI Extension.

My most rewarding experiences have allowed me to meld my interests in the arts and technology. I have served The California Arts Project as region Web Master and done series workshops. I was Teacher-on-Assignment and an Arts Tech Mentor for “TeachingArts.org” California’s On-Line Arts Resource.  I have been a trainer for San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and a trainer for Orange County’s VAPA Technology Institutes.  Currently I am the Project Manager for the CLRN Visual and Performing Arts Review Site.

CUE has been the impetuous for my growth as a technology leader and a technology using classroom teacher.  I want to give back to CUE, and continue to represent the voice of the classroom teacher on your CUE, Inc. Board.
