listen to interview

A CUE member for more than 25 years, I’m Director of the California Learning Resource Network (CLRN) and I’m currently President of the CUE Board of Directors. Previously, I served eight years as Program Manager for CTAP Region 6 where I assisted districts with technology planning and grants, created and presented curriculum integration training, and managed a variety of programs.

I regularly present at CUE and other conferences, I’ve written feature articles for OnCUE, and I currently write the President’s column for OnCUE. I believe that CUE is a vital organization that provides leadership through affiliate opportunities, conferences, and legislative advocacy.

During my first term on the board, my goals were to create a new CUE presence in northern California, to ensure financial solvency and to increase fiscal reserves, to expand partnerships with CTAP and the business community, and to increase legislative advocacy. Under Mike Lawrence’s guidance, CUE has continued to mature while growing new leaders. The March CUE conference continues to gain attendance, the board has worked directly with six affiliates to grow new leaders, and CUE is creating new partnerships to expand its influence.

My second term goals will be to institute a northern California CUE conference, to continue work to grow all affiliates through town hall and Elluminate meetings, and to ensure CUE’s financial solvency.
