Advancing Student Achievement Through Technology
Ed MacNevin
Ed MacNevinAdministrative Technology Coordinator, K12 Saddleback Valley Unified School District Mission Viejo, CA (Orange County CUE) | My name is Ed MacNevin. As a District Administrative Technology Coordinator K-12, and a former principal, I have experienced firsthand the importance building a strong community developed technology plan to provide sound technology programs for students to continually build 21st century learning skills. Whether working on initiatives like Virtual High Schools, 1:1 laptop programs or designing educator friendly user interfaces for products to maximize school and district efficiency, it is obvious to me that strategic planning is necessary so that technology can be built into a model that can sustain growth even in tough economic times. For the past 15 years I have participated in educational technology, in both the private and public sector; as a principal; as a teacher; a county office technology trainer; an owner and Board President for a nationally distributed staff development product titled, GoSignMeUp, and presently as the Administrative Coordinator of Educational Technology K-12 for the Saddleback Valley Unified School District. I am excited about having the chance to serve you as a CUE board member. I ask for your support by electing me to the CUE Board of Directors. As a CUE Board member I will seek to provide feedback from fellow educators in order to improve products and processes that are necessary to move technology to the forefront of learning. |
