Dr. Robert Marzano

Peter H. Reynolds

Over his 35 years in education, Dr. Robert 'Bob'  Marzano has worked in every U.S. state and a host of countries in Europe and Asia. The central theme of his work has been translating research and theory into practical programs and tools for K-12 teachers and administrators. In addition to his duties at Marzano & Associates, he is a Senior Scholar at Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning (McREL) and an Associate Professor at Cardinal Stritch University.

Bob received his B.A. degree in English from Iona College, his M.Ed. degree in Reading and Language Arts from Seattle University, and his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Washington.

Bob is the author of more than 20 books, 150 articles and chapters in books, and more than 100 curriculum guides and related materials for teachers and students in grades K-12.

The Art and Science of Teaching

Peter H. Reynolds is on a mission. New York Times Best-Selling Author/Illustrator, and advocate for off the path  learners, Peter's career has been dedicated to crafting stories, media and technology that challenge children and grown up children around the world to reach their full potential.

Peter has made his mark in many ways, including founding Emmy-award winning FableVision, with his identical twin brother Paul. FableVision, an educational media developer and publisher, creates innovative learning software and media, including Stationery Studio, Get a Clue, and the internationally-acclaimed BrainCogs and Essay Express, and its latest creations called SmartMoves and Animation-ish.

Peter's best selling books about protecting and nurturing the creative spirit have won many honors and awards. The film versions of his books The Dot and Ish landed the Carnegie Medal of Excellence and the American Library Associations' 2006 Notable Children's Videos Honors. Peter's latest books, Someday and Little Boy, recently hit the New York Times Best Seller Children's List at #1. His cornerstone book, The North Star, has inspired children of all ages  around the world as a book, curriculum, a musical and stage adaptation.

In 2007, Peter received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from his undergraduate alma mater, Fitchburg State College, in recognition of his substantial contributions to education and the arts. 

Much of Peter's spare time is spent giving back to the community ~ revitalizing the businesses in his beloved town, Dedham Square, supporting schools, and serving on the board of several non-profit organizations, such as Horizons for the Homeless and Everybody Wins Metro Boston.
