Workshop for Educators
If you teach the the generation that mixes and mashes, the generation that makes movies instead of just watching them, the generation that makes podcasts instead of just listening to the radio, then you'll want to get to know the all-new HyperStudio 5. Learn to use this powerful open-ended multimedia authoring tool for a wide variety of educational uses appropriate for any grade level or subject area.
Description
Create, learn, and publish! Brought to you by
Computer-Using Educators (CUE), producers of the Google Teacher Academy, the
HyperStudio Workshop for Educators introduces participants to innovative ways
HyperStudio 5 can be used in education. A full day of inspirational examples and hands-on activities includes completion of several "proof-of-concept" activities that are ready-to-use when participants return to the classroom. Learn how HyperStudio can be used for much more than presentations. Discover techniques for creating graphic novels, animated digital stories, movies on YouTube, podcasts in iTunes, mashups with Google Maps, and much much more. HyperStudio is the ultimate creative tool for students at any grade level and in any subject area. Participants who complete the HyperStudio Workshop for Educators receive a complementary copy of HyperStudio 5 and are given access to the HyperStudio Workshop for Educators Network, an online community focused on supporting educators as they learn more about the power of HyperStudio to enhance student learning.
Pricing
A HyperStudio Workshop for Educators can be brought to your staff (or to educators in your area) at a price of $250 per participant for the full-day experience, complete with access to the Hyperstudio Workshop for Educators Network at the end of the event.
This service includes a needs assessment, online registration, the Lead Learners (including travel), a custom curriculum, online resources, printed materials, HyperStudio 5 software for each participant, and an online evaluation. Requests to add or remove features (or higher travel costs depending on location) may affect the price of the event. A custom proposal will be prepared to meet your needs.
Because some host organizations cannot fund an entire group of participants, two registration options are available:
- Group Registration - The host organization handles the registration process independently and then provides CUE with a list of attendees and a check for the lump sum of their registration fees.
- Individual Registration - CUE handles online registration, allowing individuals to sign up and pay via credit card online.
