- Macworld K-12 Symposium Registration Extended -

Computer Using Educators (CUE) will collaborate with IDG and Mactivity to present six sessions within the new K12 Symposium on Friday, January 13, 2006 at Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco. CUE will provide a host and all presenters in this single room strand for the six sessions during the day. Sessions will cover topics of interest for users of all platforms. Presenters include celebrated CUE spotlight speakers David Warlick and Hall Davidson as well as Apple Distinguished Educators Carol Anne McGuire and Rae Niles.

EETT Funding Still in Jeopardy -

As you all know, the President's proposed Federal 2006 budget eliminates all funding for the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) Act, originally funded as a part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Although CUE members recently helped to win a victory by rejecting the Conference Committee bill, suggesting much lower funding levels for EETT, THE BATTLE IS NOT WON.  Each of us still has the chance to impact the outcome.  Letters to your Federal legislators are needed now. - Register to attend the Annual CUE Conference! -

Accommodations are filling up quickly and workshops and seminars are selling out. Don't miss your chance to attend the premier event for innovative educators in California. Thousands of teachers, administrators, students and parents, and other professionals attend the three-day conference. More information online.

Concurrent Sessions
Over 200 concurrent sessions offered all day Friday and Saturday. These sessions are one-hour lecture style presentations that address all areas of curriculum and appeal to a variety of teachers. Sessions are open to all attendees and do not require an additional fee.

Pop-Up Sessions
A Thursday favorite ... our long-time and well known speakers take "center stage" to provide enlightening sessions on general topics of interest. Open to all conference attendees.

Exhibit Hall
Over 150 vendor displays featuring the latest in education technology resources. The Exhibit Hall is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Exhibits are open to all attendees and do not require an additional fee. Exhibit Hall Only passes available. Children under 16 are not allowed in the hall. 

Hands-On Training 
For an additional fee, you may attend one of our Hands-On Workshops, held throughout the three-day conference. Workshop labs hold 25 registrants. Workshops are three hours of hands-on training to compliment your regular conference registration. 

Professional Development 
Professional Development seminars are held on Thursday before the conference. They are three-hour, lecture style presentations that address a specific set of objectives and presented by experts who are experienced with the use of technology in education. Professional Development seminars are available for an additional fee. 

Who Should Attend? 
Educators, technology coordinators, administrators and those who are looking to see how technology can support student achievement. Many sessions and exhibits will be of special value to those involved in Title I, School Improvement Program, Eisenhower Program, Data and Assessment, Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT), English Language Development (ELD), Special Needs, and GATE.  

Students over the age of 16 are welcome to register. Children not meeting the age requirement will not be allowed to attend or accompany parents or teachers into sessions or exhibits.
