MA - Leading Edge Certification Featured At Annual CUE Conference K12 Educators, Administrators Gather For Largest Ed Tech Conference In The West

**MEDIA ADVISORY**

(Palm Springs, CA) March 13, 2012 – Leading Edge Certification, a national certification program in educational technology and curriculum innovation, is featured as part of the National Online Teacher Certification session on March 17th at the Annual CUE Conference. The session will address the ways in which teaching online is different from teaching in a traditional classroom setting. Leading Edge Certification prepares innovative educators to be digital age leaders, build community, moderate discussions, support diverse learners, and implement frequent formative assessments.

Leading Edge Certification is also part of the Blended Learning Summit taking place on March 16th. Educational leaders in online learning from California and across the nation will discuss the current state of blended online learning, a survey of blended models, the primary challenges to implementation, the pedagogical shift that takes place when implemented, and ideas for creating support for this type of program in local districts.

This content, along with hundreds of other sessions, is part of the Annual CUE Conference, the largest educational technology conference in the Western U.S. Over 3,500 educators attend the conference, to hear firsthand about innovations in technology and instruction in the classroom. The Annual CUE Conference is March 15 -17, at the Palm Springs Convention Center, and the Palm Springs Renaissance and Hilton Hotels.

Additional highlights of the conference include three keynote presentations: Diane Ravitch, educational historian, blogger and author; Randy Nelson from DreamWorks Education and former Dean of Pixar University; and Marco Torres, teacher, filmmaker, and photographer. Only registered attendees of the conference may participate in conference activities, including the sessions above.
