Walnut Creek, Calif. --Friday, July 31, 2015 -- CUE announced this week that Eileen Walters has begun working as CUE’s Leading Edge Certification (LEC) & Volunteer Leadership Coordinator. In this role, Walters is responsible first for overseeing and coordinating the Leading Edge Certification program. She will manage coordination between LEC providers, curriculum committees, and the LEC Steering Committee for this national educator recognition program. In addition to these duties, Walters will support the efforts of CUE’s many affiliates, associates, and learning networks, becoming a vital point of contact for these organizational groups.
“We are pleased that Eileen joined our ranks as an official CUE employee,” said Mike Lawrence, CUE CEO. “She has been an active CUE supporter for many years, including serving on the East Bay CUE Board, as a member of the CUE board of directors, and as volunteer chair of our Annual Conference.”
Walters began her new position on July 20, 2015. “I am both honored and excited to be part of such a dynamic organization,” Walters said. “I look forward to continuing the work of Leading Edge Certification as well as working with each of the affiliates and learning networks to see how CUE can help to better meet their needs.”
Also, CUE recently promoted two of its team.
Amy Jenkins has been promoted to Office and Finance Manager where she coordinates all accounts receivables, accounts payables, membership, conference registrations and in-office activities of CUE.
Danny Silva has been promoted to Director of Technology Integration. In this capacity, he is responsible for all of CUE’s internal systems management, external publication systems, software and equipment. Danny also represents CUE within the IT community.
