Jon helped co-create the 1:1, all Macbook, Google Apps and Project-Based Minarets HS, literally building it from scratch in 2008. Jon was honored as a county teacher of the year in 2010. In 2014, Jon was honored as a CUE Gold Disk Recipient. Last week, Jon was a Spotlight Speaker at the CUE 2015 Annual Conference and will deliver the keynote address at Lead 3.0 (lead3.org).

Jon has worked for two County Offices of Education, and, most recently serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and Director of IT. With Jon's leadership, his county went Google Apps, now has take-home iPads for all 7th and 8th graders, and has 1:2 Chromebooks in the local HS. Jon’s efforts earned an invite to the Future Ready Summit at the White House in Fall 2014.

As Jon likes to say, “I’m just a footsoldier in the war against ignorance. Working together, we can make a bright future for all children.”
