-- STEAMpunk and Minecraft Playgrounds to Debut, Unconference Returns --

Walnut Creek, CA., February 16, 2016 -- CUE’s National Conference, taking place March 17-19, 2016 in Palm Springs, California, always offers the latest in educational best practices in the use of technology resources and support. The event features more than 200 vendors and some of the most sought after speakers in educational technology. This year, the conference will include new areas to inspire and engage both educators and their students and will mark the second year of the CUE UnConference.

CUE will offer a STEAMpunk Playground where educators can attend hands-on sessions featuring tools like robots and flying drones, Minecraft, 3D printing, coding and programming as well as give-away, “quick start” lesson plans that work for all grade levels from Kindergarten through college. Many sessions will be available with top STEAM teachers to share these exciting lessons. The STEAMpunk Playground takes place all days of the conference in Mesquite GH, at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

This year also will mark the debut of the CUE Minecraft Playground so that educators can learn not only how to play and create in Minecraft, but also how to incorporate gaming in their classrooms. The CUE Minecraft Playground will be open Thursday and Friday, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. in the Grand Rooms at the Hyatt Hotel.

For those attendees who find value in meeting, talking, and sharing with other attendees in a more informal fashion, CUE brought back its popular “Unconference” where educators can unplug from the main CUE conference and meet with others who share their passions. CUE will be providing amazing educators as hosts to handle session-building activities, and there will be room for more than 200 folks to meet in small, self-directed groups all three days. CUE Uncon is located in Mesquite D of the Palm Springs Convention Center, and on Wednesday night, UnCon will open from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. with no badges required for that hour.
