The one-day summit brings together educators and leaders who are part of the P21 coalition and showcases those schools and educators who are striving to create and sustain 21st-century learning and citizenship practices in their classrooms and districts. Attendees at the event include State Superintendent Tom Torlakson, Dr. Al Mijares, Orange County Superintendent of Schools; Mike Matsuda, CA P21 Chair and Anaheim Union High School District Superintendent; Kelly Gallagher, Keynote speaker, consultant and ELA teacher in AUHSD; and others, including Dr. Helen Soulé, National P21 Executive Director.
P21, The Partnership for 21st Century Learning (formerly the Partnership for 21st Century Skills) was founded in 2002 as a coalition bringing together the business community, education leaders, and policymakers to position 21st century readiness at the center of US K-12 education and to kick-start a national conversation on the importance of 21st century skills for all students.
