Walnut Creek, Calif., Wednesday, March 9, 2016 -- For the past seven summers, CUE Rock Star Teacher Camps have changed the way thousands of teachers engage their students. Now, CUE is set to bring that teaching to a new and deeper level by offering specialized camps that focus on a narrow group of subjects and skills. The first offering will be the CUE Rock Star STEAM Edition that will take place at Orcutt Academy High School in Orcutt, CA on April 9-10, 2016.
CUE Rock Star STEAM Edition will focus on the tools and pedagogy of the STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). As most STEAM sessions tend to be an add-on or an “outlier” session at a PD event, CUE built this two-day camp to dig deep into these core subjects.
The faculty for the CUE Rock Star STEAM Camp is world-class, featuring leaders like Chris Scott (Minecraft), Fawn Nguyen (Math), Ed Campos (Math), Henry Danielson (MakerSpace), Scott Spector (NGSS) and Julie Goo (STEAM coach) leading hands-on, classroom-tested models for teachers looking to advance their classroom practice, max out on SAMR and more.
