Walnut Creek, September 5, 2012 — Computer-Using Educators (CUE) Inc. and the California Learning Resource Network (CLRN) are proud to announce that Susan Patrick, President and CEO of iNACOL (the International Association for K-12 Online Learning) will be delivering the closing address at the eLearning Strategies Symposium to take place December 7-8, 2012 in Costa Mesa, California.
Ms. Patrick will cap off the two-day event on Saturday, December 8 by speaking on the topic of Next Generation Learning & Competency Education: A Vision Toward the Future. Her talk will focus on the national and international efforts underway to change education and to use next-generation learning models, including competency-based learning. She will offer guidance and recommendations for prioritizing actions to accelerate the transformation of the nation’s K-12 educational system.
“We are honored to have Susan as our closing speaker for this event,” said Brian Bridges, Director of CLRN. “Her work in the area of online and blended learning has been tremendous. She is a leader in competency-based learning, and our attendees will be amazed at both the breadth and depth of her knowledge as well as the hope and vision she brings for the future of education.”
The symposium will open Friday, December 7, 2012 featuring a panel keynote of online and blended learning leaders from across California who will share best practices, lessons learned and perhaps how the future of elearning will develop.
