Walnut Creek, Calif., August 29, 2017 CUE, an education nonprofit based in California, announced today that Danielle Forst has been promoted to the role of Associate Executive Director. Previously, Forst was CUE’s Director of Professional Learning.
In the newly created position of Associate Executive Director, Forst will oversee CUE's operations, finances, and Professional Learning opportunities, including the signature CUE Rock Star Camps, Lead 3 Symposium, BOLD Symposium, Spring CUE National and Fall Conferences, and privately contracted events.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Danielle as CUE’s new Associate Executive Director, and to be able to draw from the talent and experience that Danielle offers the organization and our members,” said Andrew Schwab, CUE Board President.
“I look forward to working with the CUE team, Board of Directors, Affiliates, members, and local education agencies to provide relevant, top-quality, pedagogically-focused professional learning with the highest level of customer service,” added Forst, who has been a member of CUE's Professional Learning team since 2014.
Prior to joining CUE, Forst spent 14 years as a classroom teacher, facilitated face-to-face and online professional learning for teachers through the Sacramento County Office of Education and served on the CapCUE Board of Directors.
Forst has her Masters of Education in Learning Design and Technology, is a Google Certified Innovator, Google for Education Certified Trainer and a Leading Edge Certified (LEC) Professional Developer. Additionally, Forst contributed to the LEC Professional Learning Leader curriculum.
Among the first order of business for Forst will be the CUE 2017 Fall Conference
where she is working with CUE staff, Napa Valley Unified School District, American Canyon High School, and the Conference Planning Committee to provide CUE members with a high-quality and meaningful conference experience.
Upcoming professional learning events include three CUE Rock Star Camps (Admin, Primary and Math) and the CUE 2017 Fall Conference, held October 27-28 in American Canyon, CA. Registration for Fall CUE is open and can be found online.
