Walnut Creek, California – Computer-Using Educators (CUE) Inc. today announced the launch of the OnCUE+ app for iPad, ready for download from the iTunes App Store. OnCUE+ offers issues going back to Winter 2011.
Like its paper sibling, this digital journal will be published quarterly and will contain the latest tips on new hardware and software, up-to-date legislative news, articles on successful school-based technology programs, and other, timely, useful information. However, OnCUE+ will extend the journal’s capabilities to include audio, video, slideshows, and interactive links.
“In OnCUE+, we are able to include more resources in a variety of media, which not only deepens and enhances the content, but also allows for more creative approaches to layout and clearer access to authors’ ideas. We can include many more color images, informational rollovers, and links to audio files, short movies, and much more,” explained Dr. Sara Armstrong, OnCUE Journal editor.
CUE's graphic designer, Cori Kesler of Kesler Communications, also remarked, "OnCUE+ expands the boundaries of the printed journal by offering unlimited space for content. We can now include everything from longer feature articles to abundant images to dynamic media. Additionally, it's exciting that OnCUE+ opens a digital door to CUE's content - making it available to a global audience."
The depth of the content in this new format and the slick and stunning visual design will impress the already regular OnCUE fan and will captivate those new to the publication or to the organization. Issues will be available at no charge to CUE members, or for $4.99 each for nonmembers.
Visit the App Store now to download OnCUE+ for the Apple iPad. Android, Kindle Fire, and iPhone versions will be available later this year.
