Skywalker Ranch to Host Second Annual CUE Super Symposium

25 Innovative Superintendents To Share Their Future Ready Ideas

 

For a second year, CUE producing a symposium exclusively for circle.pngsuperintendents to share practices that have been effective in transforming their districts to become Future Ready. The CUE Super Symposium is a forum of forward-thinking education leaders who gather over Summer break to share their best and most innovative practices. Only 25 County/District Superintendents primarily from California and Nevada will be invited to attend based on their application, of the best, actionable ideas that can be shared worldwide. As a National Future Ready Coalition Partner, CUE is well-positioned to offer support to these catalyzing education leaders.


The 2016 CUE Super Symposium will be held July 21-22, 2016 at the pastoral Skywalker Ranch at Big Rock. Over the course of two days, the superintendents will share their successes, innovations, issues, and ideas during dynamic sessions and reflective conversations overlooking the Marin County hills. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. on July 21 with keynote presentations and breakout sessions. The evening of July 21 will include a formal dinner, and the event concludes at 3:00 p.m. on July 22.

 

The inaugural 2015 event was held at the world-famous Hearst Castle, with nearly 20 Future Ready leaders in attendance. Each of the superintendents shared best practices in short, insightful presentations that were filmed and shared online.

 

Selected Superintendents will need to cover only their individual travel expenses as all meals and on-site transportation will be provided by CUE and sponsors, including Discovery Education. Together, CUE and its sponsors are underwriting the additional costs of the event.

 

Interested superintendents may apply for the CUE Super Symposium by submitting their application and link to their videos at cue.org/supersymposium. The 25 selected Superintendents’ presentations will be recorded on site and shared via CUE’s YouTube Channel.

 

Submissions are now being accepted and are due by May 22. Selected Superintendents will be notified by June 1. www.cue.org/supersymposium
